The plot of this second novel is based upon the characters introduced in “Chapter X, The Report,” the first novel in this trilogy. The main character, Fred, is ‘Everyman,’ and a part of him is within us all. He has had deeply moving experiences, and is learning human life as opportunity. Although he is desperate to renew his communion with spiritually advanced beings, he is forced to recognize this will require his own spiritual growth. Can he? Can you?
Sample excerpt #1 – A deep quiet fell upon him when he felt a shift within. There was nothing he could do, nothing he could see, nothing human. Yet, as it plumbed his depths, a shudder found its way through the hush into his consciousness. This was another blessing of Grace.
Arising from a hidden, infinite well it worked its way up to his throat where he both heard and felt a moan pour from his chest. There was such longing, such loneliness, such pain, and yet he heard it as if it were coming from someone else. It continued to rise and passed, ringing, through his head dissolving into the ether. A thought arrived.
“Self-realization never ends. Does it?” There was a pause.
“Does wisdom have an endpoint? Is Love finite?”
Unsurprised, Fred acknowledged the voice.
“Do you always have to answer with another question? You didn’t answer my first question.”
“Yes, I did, for you are the answer. You already know. I’ll put it another way. Is there a limit to infinity? Is what people call God a fixed and static field?”
“No, it is ever expanding.”
“Just as you are. As above, so below. When we adopt a form, whatever it may be, we also assume a dimension with its set parameters.”
